About Leeward Camino

What began as a way to journal my 500 miles on Spain's Camino de Santiago has turned into a travel blog that will cover many adventures, at home and in far flung places. I hope the things I learn while traveling — be it over land, sea or consciousness — bring me closer to living peacefully on this planet. Hence the name Leeward — also my middle name — which means "toward shelter." And the name Camino — how this all started — which means "the way." Most of the time, the way toward shelter for me involves a lot of laughter, some misadventure, and a persistent if not slightly inappropriate curiosity.
